While some of you are slowly putting away your fall decor and transitioning over to Christmas, I will keep my fall decor out for at least another week or so. It just doesn't feel right switching over to Christmas when the leaves just started falling here. We had a late start to fall this year in Northern Virginia.

I didn't really start decorating for fall until last year. Mostly because the thought of putting orange in my home was actually terrifying to me. I like to keep my house pretty neutral for the most part. For those of you who have seen my house, you know that I love my whites, blues, tans, and grays.

My front porch is the first place I start when decorating for fall. This year I went to three different nurseries to find the "perfect" pumpkins. I love love love cinderella pumpkins but they can be harder to find and I can be a bit picky at times. Let's just take a moment to appreciate my very patient husband who spent 45+ minutes with me in the first nursery as I contemplated which pumpkins were the "ones". You would have thought we were looking at engagement rings again. After the first trip, I strongly advised him to stay home for nursery number two and three and he agreed.

I didn't want to do anything too crazy, as I don't have a ton of space to work with so I kept it pretty simple. I ended up going with white mums (my fave) and some white and orange pumpkins. I threw in the smaller pumpkins to give it dimension. I layered two doormats that I purchased from Home Depot. I'm not sure if you've checked out their doormat selection recently, but they've really stepped up their game and the hello doormat was only $10.57. hello doormat // home depot

My kitchen table is actually one of my favorite spaces to decorate and I update it fairly often. The only thing that remains constant is a table runner of some sort. I honestly feel like my table isn't complete without one. My table isn't very big so I try to make sure I don't overload it with decor. Although, my husband often teases me because I make it very difficult to eat at our own table. Fashion over function, right? The faux eucalyptus arrangement is actually a Hearth & Hand garland. I cut it up and arranged the pieces around my decor. Unfortunately they no longer sell it, but I'm sure it will make a comeback after Christmas. I got the little pumpkins from Joann Fabric. They were originally a dark tan but I felt like they looked kind of dated so I painted them white.

Thank you to my lovely mom who took this picture. table runner // target candle stick // target

The final room to share with you all is my cozy living room. For the most part, I keep it pretty simple. I don't go too overboard with fall. Christmas though, that's another story. I added in a few blue and white pumpkins to bring in the feeling of fall but still keeping it very neutral and clean. ladder // wayfair basket // ballard designs book ends // hobby lobby

I love this wooden tray, it is actually one of my favorite pieces of decor in this room. l bought it from Hobby Lobby (linked something similiar) during one of their 50% sales. I love Hobby Lobby for their sales. If they're not having a sale, you can almost always count on finding a coupon online for 40% off of one full priced item. The best part about Hobby Lobby is that you can apply the coupon to any item on your transaction! Anyway, I added the pumpkins with some greenery and vase fillers to add some texture. I'm not sure if you all have noticed but I love vase fillers and I use them quite frequently! I actually have several bags of vase fillers in my cabinet and I switch them out fairly often. My collection of vase filers is almost as bad as my candle collection! wooden tray // wayfair pine cone vase filler // target cork vase filler // target green vase filler // target xoxo kristina
